Holding a Singapore mobile phone? It is cheaper to pick up that call than to SMS back
December 22nd, 2008 admin
For Singapore mobile phones holders only:
What happens when you receive a phone call from Singapore while you are roaming in Johor Bahru? Do you reject the call and SMS back thinking it might be cheaper that way?
Ans: It is actually more expensive to SMS back than to answer an incoming call for a minute. Rates below:
(Based on Singtel Mobile Plan)
Receive incoming call: S0.49/minute
Outgoing SMS: S$0.61
Incoming SMS: Free
Next, which is cheaper? To call a Singapore number using the ’02′ prefix or using the ‘+65′ prefix while you are in Johor Bahru?
Ans:
’02′.
Rates below:
’02′ prefix (e.g. 02-91234567) – S$0.50/minute
‘+65′ prefix (e.g. +65-91234567) – S$0.65/minute
Happy calling!
