Oh.. because I am from Singapore so I do not have access to newspaper.

Does Limsimi.com have a place where all these notice can be placed so that we can come and check ourselves ? Or can it be broadcast to all memeber treating it like a news like what it is now doing for all the new thing happening in JB ?

No, there is no such broadcast online. The historical way that is used for broadcast is through newspaper.

Hi Jerry, pretty unfortunate for you to encounter this kind of incident.

Usually, I will argue till no end with the traffic police before they issue the summon. And reason out with them why they are wrong to issue me the summon. I will also question the basis of what constitute an offence when the green arrow light is already shown when turning. In addition, what concrete proof they have. Again, I understand that is is not easy during the actual situation itself but the point is to block them from issuing the summon in the first place.

Once the summon is already given however, it is very hard to make your case. In addition, it is now troublesome to go through the appeal process.

The summon you received is a traffic offence, not the common parking offence. Parking offence can wait, and there are occasions when the Government actually advertise a “sales” on newspaper, actually giving 30-50% discount from the parking fine. Traffic fine are a little different.

I suggest that you pay the summon. You can do so at the Traffic police station just down the main road from Plaza Pelangi.

On Sunday night after dinner we were returning to Singapore from Gelang Patah
On reaching the traffic light junction turn to the 2nd link, we made a right turn after the green arrow turn on. immediately on turning right our cars were stopped by 2 policemen who charged us for turning right when the right turn red arrow light is on. We told them we did not see any red arrow light. After some argument We then walked to the junction with one of the policeman to show them. He said the red arrow light is not working. However,
he said we will still be summoned for making the “illegal” turn and issued us the summon despite our reasoning. In our opinion, we did not break the traffic rule because the traffic light is faulty, and there is no sign to say ‘no right turn’. The police should instead get the light repaired immediately and not wait at the roadside to catch drivers making the “illegal turn”. Do you think we should pay the fine? Anyone can advise us where to settle the summon ? thanks

I m one of then who got caught yesterday. Myson did not wear the safety belt and i got the 300 fine. Saw the police just round the bend butnot enuff time to react. Beware and be careful. Do ‘t waste ur $$$ this way
