I intend to bring my family with 2 kids to Danga Bay for a weekend. Any hotel recommendation near there?Lastly, is it far from JB customs. We are not driving. Thanks and appreciate your reply.

Hi there, what is the budget for your hotel? Some that you can consider are the Hyatt Hotel, the Straits View Hotel or the M-Suites hotel.

It is not far from the JB custom and if there are 4 of you, can squeeze into a cab. It is abt 12 minutes cab ride from the above 3 hotels which I recommend.

Hi. Have read lots about safety in Johor Bahru. Any specific safety concerns for two ladies just coming to Johor Bahru to go to City Plaza for the day while on a Singapore holiday?

    [Reply]

    adminNo Gravatar Reply:

Hi, I assume you ladies are going City Square rather than City Plaza? There is nothing much at City Plaza except a indoor soccer pitch on the 3rd floor. :p

If it is the former, there should be no concerns as City Square is linked to the Johor Bahru Custom and safe.

    Hi admin,
I am planning to take my kids to the 3 main parks – Sg Zoo, Nite Safari and Bird Park over the weekend this school holidays. Is it ok to stay in Jb and commute daily rather than stay in a Sg hotel as they are much more expensive. Thks.

We are planning on a trip to Tebrau City this Sunday, will there a jam back to citysq.
By the way is there any sales on now

If you travel on Sunday morning, there should not be a jam. In addition, if you return to SG before 4pm, the traffic is generally good.

If you are looking to setup a proper cyber cafe business in Johor Bahru, do not use pirated software.

Being in the IT business means you will be under the spotlight of anti-piracy groups.

Hi all, I used this movers service Shun Hin (tel 07 6525881) to move from Singapore AMK to Leisure Farm Malaysia. They are a professional transport company with extremely reasonable charges for trucking —- RM800 inclusive of all documentation fees, no haggling over “kopi money” etc. If you need more info, email me at seulmoi@hellokitty.com and I’m more than glad to share. :)

Just wondering, it’s my first time going to JB by car, if I have to purchase the Touch n Go card. Can I still pay the toll charges in cash? I don’t plan to frequent JB, this is more like a one off trip.

    Thanks!

Hi Jonathan, cash is no longer accepted. You need to pay via TnG at the JB Customs.

Hi, just found this website by luck. I think it is a great job!

I think beside displaying the toll charges for Woodland checkpoint, could you please display the toll charge for Second link as well for both Malaysia and Singapore side.

    Hi,

I am trying to contact the Goverment-owned Old Folks Home in Johor as I need to locate the whereabouts of the deceased father of my Malaysian wife who has been unable to get in touch as her sister has accidentally lost the telephone number of the Old Folks Home.

Hi, stumbled on this website and all I can say is good job guys! One of my colleagues asked me this question that I cannot quite answer; he is taking his family of 4 to Singapore for the weekend but he will be driving from KL to JB, where is a safe car park that he can leave his car for 2 days thats nearby the new CIQ?
Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work!

If u park in JB u ask for shit ! U go north-bound along Jalan Terbrau & see, la. After Jalan Hrimau (means: after Perlangi) u see a stripped down motorcycle. This bastardized machine has been sitting behind the bus-stop 4 v long time. Old Chinese owner taken to hospital & no one follow up on mbike. So few Malay boys came with tools n skinny down m/c in DAYLIGHT! Skeleton still there. No garment!

U better park with some you know. JB house. Inside. But crime so bad there. Even it got risk

Or u park HDB carpark at Woodlands Singapore. Then bus back to JB & family. BUT U make sure u pay the parking dues. Cause u’ll surely be booked otherwise. Singapore is an efficient. BEST u get a Sporean look after yr car needs. Not so many cars stolen here

The finest lives, in my opinion, are those who rank in the common model, and with the human race, but without miracle, without extravagance….

Nothing fixes a thing so intensely in the memory as the wish to forget it….

Gimme contacts. Car Wreakers. I need buy used auto parts for my old Nissan Sunny or Nissan Sentra. As many as possible. Cause I ll visit them as I like DIY. Hv been car-DIYing 40 years – only for personal use & for fun doing for v close friends.

    Thank you all very much

ps: recently visited one in Permas Jaya Bahru. Good – shop is v neat. But CID not meet my needs. V hard to find wreakers in JB. But they exist

    Dear Site-Ops,

    Congrats, Well Done, Thank you.
The info on ur header is v good. Keep it up.
    - police contact
    - gateway cameras
    - toll charges
    - bus bays @ CIQ

    Suggestions:
    1. FOOD. I visited restaurants, in JB, based on magazine/info & don’t find them good. But there are good ones there. Can make FOOD part of ur site. I think many of us go there to do that.
    2. AUTOMOBILE. Many of us come for this. Can u make this part of ur site? Sub -sections: tire&wheels, routine servicing, body-sculpt , car-wreakers, acc shop, etc. Over time, good ones will remain listed
    3. GATEWAY WARNING & TYPICAL HOT PERIODS. Over time, u’ll be able to list update safety info & tricks they play to trap visitors for a few bucks.
    4. IMPROVE POLICE CONTACT. JB police print leaflets which nobody can understand. So silly. Downright silly. They claim they are serious & available to render assistance for anybody in distress. Can call them in regular languages. Can text them in English – I am sure nobody use their system! Help them. Summarize/Simplify for them

Pls for yr consideration. Thank you.
