Aeon Bukit Indah – New shopping mall in Johor Bahru, Malaysia
December 27th, 2008 florence.tan
Another shopping mall by the AEON has opened in Johor Bahru. Just like its sister AEON Tebrau City, AEON Bukit Indah is a 3-level shopping mall with Jusco being the flagship store – a supermarket offering everything from food to baby diapers to perfumes.
Located a 40 minutes drive from the new Johor Bahru CIQ (and 20 minutes from the 2nd Link), Bukit Indah mainly serves the residents further up north in Johor Bahru and Singaporeans coming in to Johor Bahru via the Second Link. It competes with the Sutera Mall and Nusa Bestari in Tun Aminah. There are at least 2,000 parking lots but you may have to sweat a little to find a parking lot on weekends and public holidays, when it gets especially crowded.
Opening Hours: 10.00am to 10.30pm (Daily)
Address: Jalan Indah 15/2, Bukit Indah, 81200 Johor Bahru

Getting there and back (kindly contributed by one of our website visitor, Grace):
CW3 from Jurong East Interchange
Adult and Secondary school children - S$4 each
Children (Primary school) – S$1.50 each
CW3 from Taman Bukit Indah
Adult and Secondary school children - RM$5 each
Children (Primary school) – RM$2.50 each
Notes
- To return to Singapore, one has to board CW3 from a CW cafe. First, walk across the shopping centre’s open-air car park and cross the road. There is construction going on now. Behind the construction, one will see the back part of a row of shops. The cafe is at a corner – can be identified easily by the blue open umbrellas belonging to the food sellers.
- Fares are paid by cash. It’s best to get exact change, whether in S$ or RM$. From JE interchange, the fare will be collected by someone when one is still in the queue (before boarding). From Taman Bt Indah, the fare will be collected by the driver himself.

Hi Kirsten, you can take CW Buses 111 or 666B (the yellow colour buses) from Johor City Center at the bus stop opposite the Public Bank. Should take you past Tampoi to Taman Bukit Indah, where it is a 15minutes walk or a very short ride away from Aeon Bukit Indah. If you are unfamiliar with the area, you should tell the bus driver beforehand where you intend to alight.

Public Transport from SNG to Aeon Bt Indah :
Take CW3 from Jurong East Bus Interchange (SGD4 as at Aug 09). It’s about an hour journey to final destination. Bus will enter via 2nd Link and Sultan Abdul Bakar Customs.Thereafter it will head to a town called Gelang Patah before turning towards Bukit Indah Interchange (nxt to the shopping mall). There are 2 to 3 buses leaving within the hour. Bt Indah to Jurong East will cost RM5. Do note these fares are not absolutes because transport cost is rapidly rising in Johor. I think 90% of the shop space are occupied.

Return trip from Bukit Indah to Jurong East – at Bukit Indah roundabout CW3 Bus Terminal.
Nearest Cinema to Bukit Indah – Perling Mall (but it’s kinda run down)…
From Kulai you need to take a bus to Gelang Patah, then change to CW3…

Hi there, I live at Taman Bukit Indah 2.Just want to share information. I heard Aeon Bukit Indah will have Cinema & karaoke for the next year. BTW,about the waveboard you mentioned, I have survey that they charge RM10 to us only for trial. I think that way to much.I ask the Aeon staff that the waveboard people have breach the contract by charging people even Aeon give them free space.

Hi Yuki, thanks for comments. Cinema and Karaoke are certainly great for the mall and I hope the management at Bukit Indah can do something about the complain at waveboard.
Separately, I had forwarded this thread to Bukit Indah for their attention.

Hi,its me again. I think Aeon Bukit Indah do have Kenny Rogers. They also have Nando’s, KFC,Pizza Hut,A&W,and other local & international restaurants. I’d prefer BBQ Chicken restaurant that serve roasted chicken with olive oil.Healthy & tasty roasted chicken that make you want more n_n Recently, I noticed there’re new interesting kiosks at 1st & 2nd Floor. See it for yourself…

I’ll be heading down to this AEON at Bukit Indah next week with my friends. Is this place suitable for like, shopping the whole day? Are the prices low or comparable to Singapore’s? and most importantly, does anyone know if the A&W restaurant is still there?? (:
