This will be the first time that we are buying baby items in JB. We don’t have a car so we’ll just take bus from SG. Can you suggest the nearest supermarket in Johor from Singapore that we can go to?

I have been getting stuffs from Malaysia since my first kid who is noe 6. And now, I am having a pair of twins. Items from milk powder, diapers, baby wipes are always purchase in bulk. In fact we go in almost 2 times every month. ( either milk powder or diaper for every trip). My twin girls finish one can of powder every 4 days…. imagine the cost if I buy from S’pore!… and how much have I saved since 6 years ago. Thanks to my gynae, who recommend me there..

Me and my hubby planning to go to JB this coming saturday and this is our first time to go to JB to buy baby stuff.

Is there anybody knows how much per big can of GAIN milk for 2 yrs old? How many can i bring in to singapore? Is there any gst need to pay if i bring in to singapore? Which grocery shop should i go to buy baby stuff?

Hi Lee HS, buy in moderation. And really, the baby products are not controlled unlike oil and sugar which are subsidised items in Malaysia. You will not raise an eyebrow if you buy 6 packs of huggies into Singapore for example.

If you order via courier, there might be a chance the these items may be taxable. In addition, I will never order consumables like milk powder from courier – I’ll rather take it off the shelves for better peace of mind.

I would like to know, that your all can carry milk powder and baby diapers so many each time?? Any prohibit?

If order from other state in Malaysian and deliver by courier, is it also ok without any “disturb” from singapore and malaysia custom officer??

Need your all help on this issue.

Hi Ichel, not sure for Similac bit at least for Gain step 3 900ml, the composition is exactly the same – protein, omega3, vitamin B etc..

Selling at RM$50 in JB while in Singapore, sells for $28.
