Hi SL, you can refer to this post here:
http://www.limsimi.com/leisure-entertainment-johor-bahru/johor-bahru-shopping/aeon-tebrau-city-johor-bahru/

Tesco is right besides Aeon Tebrau City so you might want to consider going there for shopping as well. See map here:

Quote:

" ... store is not well lit, plenty of spoil trolleys and rough roads at Car Park."

I've been doing my shopping at the Giant Leisure Mall for quite some times now.

IMO, even though the place is not as bright as a football stadium at night time -- ie the interior -- it's not dark or eerie at all. I agree however, that the parking area -- the areas surrounding the Giant Leisure Mall's building -- is rather dimmed and dark.

Certain sections of the mall don't even see much human traffic, especially at night.

Spoiled trolleys are the one thing that infuriates and never fails to get on my nerves though. It is really a challenging feat, to steer the trolley on a straight path! I noticed that his phenomenon has existed since the past few years! Giant MUST DO something to arrest this problem, and make sure that this severe annoyance would stop immediately!

Jusco Tebrau City is not exactly on the same par with either Giant or Tesco, or Carrefour hypermarkets.

The goods at Jusco is much more expensive compared to the hypermarkets -- for obvious reasons! (I often chuckle to myself whenever I browse through the "organic foods" section at Jusco.)

While Tesco has been praised of late for its cheap products, the limits imposed on how much of a certain product could be purchased during a single shopping trip has put me and some of the people I know off.

Finally, if the main aims are to purchase groceries, in addition to other non-perishable items (eg detergents), I would recommend the would-be shoppers to go to Carrefour hypermarket.

Just next to Carrefour is the Smart market. Smart offers a wide range of fresh produce, groceries, seafood, fruits, etc at a relatively cheap price.

After you're done shopping at Carrefour, just walk next door to buy your fresh groceries! Things couldn't have been any convenient as that!

One more Giant has lesser crowd. Along with skudai highway, in front of Taman Impian Emas. This probably the least crowded Giant I have ever been to in JB
