In the unfortunate event that you are injured and needs immediate medical attention while in Johor Bahru, you will most likely be sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital.

Hospital Sultanah Aminah is the first General Hospital in Johor Bahru. Located facing the Straits of Johor (along Jalan Abu Bakar), it has a helipad of its own, and is easily recognisable with its brick facade. It looks a little run down, but the medical standard here is decent. Nowadays, most newborn Johorean babies are also delivered here.

A thing to note if you are visiting your relatives/ friends here – There is actually a dress code for visitors. And it is formalised with posters pasted near the entrance prohibiting visitors who are wearing:

1. Spaghetti Straps
2. Skirts at knee level or higher
3. Shorts

The safest bet is to come in jeans or khakis. Of course, it is helpful to have a cardigan or sweater to “cover up”. Alternatively, you can bypass the security by skirting to the back of the hospital to access the wards.

If you are intending to deliver your baby here, you will probably be sent back home if your dilation is less than 3cm. The doctors/ midwives will tell you to go for natural birth as much as possible and even after delivery, the infant ward is quite packed. Its free for Malaysians though, so I am not complaining.

hosp sultanah aminah mmpunyai seorang doktor bernama izman (nama pd nametag, seorang yg agak kacak tp sayangnya bersikap sombong dan angkuh..10/06 pd jam l/krang 7.00am,dtang seorang psakit yg mmpunyai penyakit tb & hiv, as a doctor, apa pun pnyakit yg ada pd psakit, rwtan hrus dberikan.ketika psakit ditolak masuk utk dperiksa, doktor bleh brckap “CUKUP,JGN SAMPAI TRSENTUH SAYA”..dan trus brtanya apa masaalahnye…bila si ibu brkata yg anaknya skit kepala,si doktor trus brtanya “HABIS TU??”..itukah sifat yg perlu ada pd seorg doktor???tolong jgn aibkan air muka si ibu hanya krana anaknya mghidap penyakitb tersebut..

sy mmngnya suka sama dr.yg mengobati sy. selalunya ambil berat tanganya lembut dan hanya rasa terubat jiwa. katanya perut sy.sakit kerna appendix aduh..sy suruh sentuh ke bawah pusat aduh..enaknya..dan akhirnya sy.udah semboh tampa operation TQ all staff n dr. hsa hingga kini sy.masih dlm kenangan..kerna semuanya baik2.

sy kecewe dgn perkhidmatan para jururawat di wad kelas 3.mereka mls utk layan para pesakit.Pada sy,jururawat mesti didenda jika melayan pesakit dengan buruk.Cube anda bayangkan,seorang pesakit yg sdh tua meminta utk menukr lampin dan jururawat blh ckp”Saya tak ade mase.”

Abang saya dimasukkan ke wad ICU baru2 ini kerana serangan asthma. Boleh tolong jelaskan berapakah harga katil dan kos2 lain untuk sehari? Juga, harga katil dan rawatan di wad biasa. Terima kasih.
