Johor Bahru Car Wash
June 19th, 2010 admin
In Singapore, a car wash can cost between 5-10 Singapore Dollars. What you get is a typical soaping, some vacuum and wiping off the water using a dry towel. If you are lucky enough, 2-3 attendees will be involved in this process.
Up NORTH, Singapore’s friendly neighbours (Johor Bahru) have been showing what QUALITY and VALUE really means, at least in the car wash business.
In Johor Bahru, a car wash cost about RM$8- RM$10:
First, you get the “snowing” – spraying of soapy foam over the facade of your car. And the action starts.
Once the foam is sprayed, some scrubbing is done and a water jet is then used to flush out all the foam, together with the oil, dirt, soot and bird droppings.
As the final stream of water jet ends, the car is wiped dry and air brushers are used to remove the remaining water particles.
Then the doors of the cars are opened, together with the boot and even the petrol tank cover, not unlike a car in a showroom. In all, 5 to 6 attendees attend to different areas of the cleaning. Air brushers are used to remove particles stuck between the lines of your car cushion. Powerful vacuum cleaners are used to suck up all the biscuits left behind in the car by your kids. The interior of your windscreen are wiped clean of fingerprints. Your car tyres are polished. You do not even have to worry that a different strand of hair would be found in your car – which doesn’t belong to your wife.
With pride in their profession, the cleaners occasionally gives each other a wink and work as a team. The roles and responsibilities of each one of them are defined, and their actions syncronished to ensure you do not spend too much time waiting for your car wash to be done.
Not that it matters really, as you are seated in the comfort of an air-conditioned waiting room on a massage chair, with cable TV, magazines or a computer with internet access.
Finally, someone gently taps you on your shoulders and passes you your keys. As you get back into the driver’s seat, an attendee closes the door for you and gives you a gesture of thanks.
You start the car engine and hear the familiar “vvrrooom” sound. As you gently tap onto your accelerator, you wonder how a car wash could had given you such a wonderful experience and feeling that you are driving a new car.
And next destination – time to pump some cheap petrol in Johor Bahru to complete your journey.

actually, the one in the pic is on the same road as Holiday Plaza, next to the Tebrau Highway and opposite Taman Sri Tebrau… if you are heading back to the immigration from Tebrau area, take the right turn at the traffic light just before Crystal Crown Hotel, you will then see this car wash with the familiar uniform on your right hand side a few meters away from the traffic light… good luck and enjoy

Totally agree….
The service of car wash in JB is so much higher that they put the Singapore car wash to shame….
even the smallest and the most lousy car wash in JB (any small little ones at a corner) takes pride and wash and dry each and every car the same way.
If any Spore car wash include vacuum and tyres at SGD6… I am sure they will earn alot…

I used to go to this Super car wash centre at Jalan Dato Sulaiman,I think the shop name is Supwave.I also feel that their car wash and car polishing services are tip top as I ever sent my car or polishing and when I first look to my car after polishing,it was like a NEW car . I think no other car wash centre from Singapore & Malaysia can fight their services level. You may come to try their services.Excellent Supwave! Keep up your GOOD job.

haha… i like this comment. Said it very well. I also get this happy feeling after every car wash. The car wash I go to is further down the road nearer to Holiday Plaza. Probably only 2-3 attendees, but they still gave me great service. Typical washing in JB includes shampoo, tyre blackening, vacuuming, wiping interior glass.
man! They really wipe every part of my car making it sparkling clean.

i found a even better one!! cause they are using a better shmpoo by charging you the same price =)
this is an one stop station for your car, they do accessories, air con, body kit and car wash… that the reason why they can use better quality of shapoo by charguing the same price… “this is claim from them”
anyway, i really have a good experiance in this shop~
